Melbourne’s West is growing rapidly. It’s time for our transport network to catch-up.

Since the 2016 federal election, more than 40,000 people have moved to Wyndham. Federal investment in transport infrastructure simply hasn’t kept up. We need real action now.

The West is a great place to live and to do business. But unless we act now our transport woes will only get worse, with Melbourne’s West expected to outgrow Perth in the next 30 years.

New rail infrastructure is already overdue – and the 2019 Federal Election is a crucial opportunity for us to make it happen.

Wyndham and other local governments are calling for the federal government to fund new infrastructure and services ASAP.

Sign the petition to fix transport in Melton

For too long, the residents of the City of Melton have been neglected.

Our public transport is woefully inadequate. Many people live more than a 10 minute walk from a bus stop, and those who are lucky enough to live near a bus stop have a bus service that runs infrequently and connects poorly to other public transport services.

We deserve a level of public transport that many people in Melbourne take for granted.

  • 95% of residents in the City of Melton should live within 400 metres of a public transport service that runs at least every 20 minutes, 7 days a week
  • Bus routes should be extended to service new residential estates
  • Bus routes should be established to link the City of Melton to the surrounding region e.g. Bacchus Marsh, Watergardens, and Werribee
  • Every train should be met by a bus.
